Abu Ghraib
Abu Ghraib is a prison that has a bad history. It was used for criminals during the Iraq War during 2003. Just like Guantanamo Bay, the abuse was happening from U.S military personnel. There were multiple reports of abuse and torture on patients. The torture is so severe, that many prisoners were killed from it. Some of the pictures that were taken inside of the prison are very graphic and uneasy to look at, so I decided to not include many pictures on here.
Abuse and Torture
Many reports have been made against the U.S. Military about being abused and tortured by them while being a prisoner inside Abu Ghraib. Some of the abuse that happened inside there ranged from rape, sexual assault and beatings. Many other sick forms of abuse happened against prisoners. There are pictures of military soldiers giving thumbs up next to naked prisoners masturbating with bags on their heads. They forced them to do such lewd acts while soldiers are laughing at them and taking pictures of it. The pictures are horrifying to look at and I couldn't put them on this page.

This picture is of a soldier punching (or is pretending to punch) handcuffed prisoners. Beatings like this would go on many times and the prisoners are helpless because they are are tied up at their wrists and ankles.

This picture shows prisoners naked and on top of one another to make a pyramid. There are two military soldiers in the background smiling and giving thumbs up. They forced and put the prisoners this way for their own enjoyment.

Here is another picture of soldiers torturing prisoners for enjoyment. The soldier is sitting on top of a prisoner who is squished between two stretchers.
Manadel al-Jamadi

Manadel al-Jamadi was a prisoner at Abu Ghraib. He was being interrogated and tortured by a CIA officer and was killed by it. The officer was not tried for his death. Instead, his death was labeled as a homicide by the U.S. military. After his death, the officers are smiling and posing with a thumbs up next to his body.
